Fugubiki
The Fugubiki knife is quite unique as it is a specialty knife! Typically known as a "tweaked” version of the Yanagi knife, the Fugubiki was crafted for the purpose of cutting paper thin slices of the “fugu” fish or blowfish. The reasoning behind the super specific and specialized construct of the Fugubikiis due to a famous custom in Japan that is to serve paper thin blow fish cuts over a decorated plate so that the decoration is visible through the cuts.
